I am officially in my dragon era. It is Year of the Dragon and I devoured Rebecca Yarro's Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I have a new obsession. These books were unbelievable and I am so grateful I listened to all the hype and gave them a try.

So lucky to have spent an amazing day with Cynthia, the twins, and my sister at the tulip farm. It was a little chillier than we anticipated, but that may have been even better because we got to see the twins in their bear outfits. They are the absolute cutest and are just waiting to have a little buddy to join them on their adventures.

Spending the day with my favorite human. We decided on an out of this world theme this year for Mother’s Day because let’s face it, our Mom is out of this world! My Mom is the most incredible human on the planet. I would choose her in every lifetime and in every universe. I know how lucky I am to be able to call my Mom my very best friend.

Joined the fiesta over at Stew Leonard's to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We enjoyed burritos bowls, tacos, and nachos.

The surprises for my birthday never stopped. My sister and Jorell celebrated my birthday as the first celebration in their new home. I cannot tell you how honored I am.

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators and the importance of reading. There are over 100 countries celebrating World Book Day! According to researchers, children who love reading are not only good readers, but they tend to develop a broader vocabulary and understand other cultures easily.

Brushing up on my pediatric first aid skills. I am so grateful my Mom and sister joined me. We all want to be as prepared as possible for when a little one joins our family.

I go to the home show every year, but this year was extra special because my sister and Jorell have their new home. They needed fence vendors and pavers for their driveway and it is so exciting to see them tackling their first home improvement projects.

Will the first woman on the moon be from Long Island? I sure hope so. Cheering on NASA Astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli. You go girl! The Cradle of Aviation Museum is always so much fun to visit. I am so lucky to live close to so many incredible museums.

My Mom, sister, and I signed up for a beginners ASL course together at our local community college. We love to learn new things and try new things together. The instructor is awesome and our classmates are wonderful people.

Soaking in a spectacular moment. Today's solar eclipse is set to be the biggest astronomical event of the decade. I am so grateful I had an opportunity to safely view it. It was magic. I've been wishing on stars, but now I was able to wish on an entire eclipse to become a Mom.

Ahhhhh!!!!! I have really exciting news. I can now share that my little sister and her fiancé officially closed on their house. But here is the best part….it is the house directly behind mine! First order of business is to take down the fence to connect both of our yards. I am just so proud of her and this monumental accomplishment of becoming a homeowner.

Just over here supporting our superstar, Kiki. The entire cast of Annie Jr. was amazing, but Kiki stole the show. She is so brave and talented. I loved being able to watch the performance and cheer them on. I can’t wait until I have a little one to come cheer on Kiki with me.

Looking forward to the year I get to make Easter memories with a little one. We kept some Easter traditions alive by dyeing some Easter eggs and enjoying a nice breakfast together. I'm the only one in my family who actually likes peeps. Of course, my sweet dog was left an Easter Basket by the Easter Bunny.

Another kindle reading challenge completed. I loved almost every book I read this challenge. I started with poetry (which is not something I usually read) and it was beautiful.

When did I get old enough that Sega, Nintendo 64, and the original PlayStation are considered retro? I visited a retro arcade exhibit where you were able to play all the games. I was playing Pac-Man and Asteroids and the Pinball Machine. My sister kicked my butt in Smash Brothers and we both jumped up with excitement when Jorell showed us Crash Bandicoot.

The Hicks Nurseries Annual Flower Show did not disappoint! This year's theme was Celebrations Around the World with iconic global celebrations including Chinese New Year, Holi, Oktoberfest, 4th of July, and Day of the Dead. It was an explosion of color and landscape architecture. Of course, I was elated to see the Dragon in the Lunar New Year display and an entire Day of the Dead display.

The face you make when your sister's fiancé tells you he is dropping by with some surprise Crumbl Cookies for you! So excited a Crumbl Cookies opened nearby. They were delicious and it was such a sweet treat. I'm hoping it won't be long until I have a little one who Jorell is spoiling with cookies instead of me.
