Celebrating Lunar New Year

One of my favorite things to do during Lunar New Year is to read the horoscope for my zodiac sign for the upcoming year. According to myths, the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac were selected through a race. They are not only used to represent years in China, but also believed to influence people's personalities, career, compatibility, and fortune. I was born in the year of the horse, my sister was born in the year of the rooster, and my Mom was born in year of the Tiger. We had a great time at the Town of North Hempstead Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration at the Charles J. Fuschillo Park. They did an amazing job with all the performances and the activities for all the little ones there. I am getting so excited for Lunar New Year. I can't wait until I have a little one to share these events with!
