Happy New Year!
I know spending New Year's Eve in Times Square watching the ball drop is a bucket list item for a lot of people, but not for me. I much prefer a fun night lounging inside in comfy clothes. Traditionally, my family plays board games and snacks on finger foods. We usually have some type of movie marathon playing in the background. This year, we had a Harry Potter marathon playing which is one of my all-time favorites. You'll never find me turning down an opportunity to watch Harry Potter. My sister made a delicious take on a bruschetta chicken recipe that she made up and even tried out homemade mozzarella sticks. They were a delicious success! I am so excited for our leftover dinner tonight. We had an exciting evening trying out some of our new games including Abducktion and Dutch Blitz as well as enjoying some old favorites like One Night Werewolf and Sorry. I'm now getting ready to settle back in the dining room for a few more rounds of Dutch Blitz. I am grateful for all the blessings of 2023 and am looking forward to new adventures and an even brighter 2024. I am hoping this is the year I change my title to Mom.
